FUNDAMED, besides its main activity of recruiting volunteers to assist impoverished communities, promotes a range of social activities and projects in order to bring much needed social assistance to communities in Brazil. These campaigns are aimed at catering for many of the needs of the poor population, such as:
01. PUBLIC HEALTH PROGRAM:
– Plantão Solidário/Medical Mission: Medical missions to provide free operations
– Saúde Total/Total Health: Distribution of medicines at cost
– Project Hope/Prevention Campaign: Campaigns for disease prevention
– Medical Training: Program for technical training
– International Rescue Mission: Patients travel overseas to be operated
02. EDUCATION PROGRAM:
– Access to Computer Labs: Computer labs accessible to public school
– Teacher Training/Education Agents: Continuing education for the teachers
– Student Access to Internet: Each student will have an e-mail adress
– Projeto Penhor/Student Exchange: Exchange program for public school students
– Links with Overseas Schools: Set up computer links between schools via internet
03. UNIVERSITY EXCHANGE PROGRAM:
– Book Donation Program: Donation of books to universities and schools
– International Exchange: Cooperation to promote exchange
– Medical Training: Medical training to promote research and joint-venture studies
– Physical Examination Campaign: Campaign in the public schools.
– Telemedicine: Set up telemedicine programs for the public/private sector

– Agasalho Popular/Used Clothing: Distribution of used clothing in emergency situations
– Visão Total 20/20/Eye Campaign: Donation of eye glasses and intra-ocular lenses
– Used Medical Equipment: Donation of used medical equipment projects
05. ENVIRONMENT PRESERVATION PROGRAM:
– ECOWATCH: To increase the number of forest agents to prevent deforestation
– Amazônia Fique Legal: Legal support to combat crimes against the environment
– Natureza VIVA/Public Awareness: To provide eco information using volunteers
– Environmental Education: Campaigns to promote environmental education
06. SPORTS FOR KIDS PROGRAM:
– Soccer Ribeirão Preto: International soccer and sports exchange program
– CBF- Esporte Solidário: To provide access to sports activities to poor children
